What’s the First Step?

Dr. Kaweski will advise you to stop smoking for five weeks before your breast lift surgery and temporarily discontinue blood thinners, aspirin, or herbal supplements.

Dr. Kaweski will advise you to have someone pick you up after surgery. Pain medication will be prescribed for post-op discomfort. There will be visible swelling and bruising, but these will subside within a few days.

A support bra will provide the structure needed for faster healing. Dr. Kaweski will recommend that you do not lie down on your stomach but rest in a reclining position, with pillows propped behind your back. You may return to your regular activities in 7-10 days, and exercising and heavy lifting in around four weeks.
