| Thigh Lift
Indications:
- Excess skin and fat of the inner thighs after massive weight loss which is resistant to diet and exercise.
Procedure Description:
- The procedure is done under a general anesthesia on an outpatient basis.
- An incision may involve only the groin crease or may extend vertically into the pubic area or down on to the inner thigh where the front of the thigh meets the back of the thigh.
Recuperation and healing:
- A small drain is placed in the thigh wound. This drain is usually removed in 7 -14 days.
- The incisions are covered with light dressings and the patient wears a compression garment which provides support over the area.
- Initial discomfort subsides daily and can be controlled with oral medications.
- Scars will fade in 12-24 months.
- Plan to avoid any strenuous activity for at least 4 weeks. Too much initial activity will result in prolonged swelling which will take longer to dissipate.
Intended result:
- More attractive contour to the thighs.
- The ability to wear appropriate pant size and feel comfortable with your appearance.
Additional Procedures to enhance result:
Lower body lift
Abdominoplasty
Liposuction
