Cheek Surgery

Indications:

  • Smaller than desired cheeks
  • Retruded cheeks

Procedure Description:

  • The procedure is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia
  • Cheek implants can be placed through incisions in the mouth, below the eyes or through facelift incision.
  • Reduction of the cheek bone is performed through incisions above the ears in the scalp.

Intended Result:

  • Enhancement of the cheeks to improve facial features
  • Detrusion of the cheeks to improve self image.

Recuperation & Healing:

  • A head dressing is applied for 2 days.
  • Swelling and bruising will subside in 2-3 weeks.
  • Strenuous activities should be avoided for 4 weeks.
